Being blessed by an eclectic and constant mix of musical genres ranging from Classical, Funk, Pop, Soul & much more, Leo also played keyboards and piano in many churches. During his mid teens & 20’s Leo became Musical Director in two of these churches, playing in several concerts featuring artists such Gospel greats as The Wades, amongst others.
Being introduced to the recording studio environment by individuals who sought his insight and passion for learning and giving, Leos love and appreciation of musical textures begun to present itself more creatively with the use of his own voice.
However, it is also musicians, performers & writers such as James Brown, Michael Jackson, Debussy, Al Green, Burt Bacharach, Elvis, Aretha Franklin, Jackie Wilson, Beethoven & Prince are in the midst of shaping his appreciation & love for the seemingly unlimited feelings that musical structures can create. Having recorded with Osibisa on a single with Sting, Leo continued to perform alongside various R&B and Pop legends such as Ray Lewis, Beverly Knight, Don- E. Omar, Roy Carter, Junior Giscombe, several more OFFICIAL & long-standing members of the group, The Drifters.
Leo radiates energy and musical conviction through every show he is involved in. Whether as a background singer blending in with harmonies to an out front lead vocalist and dancer, many people will also be delighted to know he has now launched his own SOLO Soul & Motown Show. With specially chosen songs, you can rely on Leo to infuse a wide range of classics from modern R&B based hits with a timeless collection of iconic Soul & Motown favourites & floor-fillers.
